From theme parks to sausages, some car brands sell more than just cars. Here are some of the weirdest and most wonderful things you can buy or try from them.

While it’s common to see iconic car brands such as Ferrari selling merch like hats and tees to motorsport fans and car enthusiasts, some brands offer far more unexpected products. We’ve rounded up some of the quirkiest non-car items and experiences some car brands sell. Would you buy or try any of these?

Unfortunately, we don’t sell non-car products. But you can buy a brand new or used car right here on Carwow. And you can also sell your car, too. We’re here to help you through every step of your car-changing journey.

Peugeot salt and pepper mills

They might be best known for their cars, but Peugeot actually started making things like coffee mills and tools back in the 1810s – long before they unveiled their first car in 1889 at the World Fair in Paris.

Their salt and pepper mills have been around for over a century, and are still super popular today – their bestseller is the Chocolate Paris u’Select mills, which you can get as a set for £69.99. They’re known for being really well-made, with strong grinding mechanisms that last a lifetime.

What’s cool is that the same attention to detail and engineering that goes into Peugeot cars also shows up in these kitchenware. So whether you’re driving one of their cars or seasoning your dinner, you’re getting a bit of that classic Peugeot craftsmanship.

Volkswagen currywurst

So, you’ve got your premium-quality salt and pepper grinders, surely you need some food to season with them? Well, German car manufacturer Volkswagen has been making a brand of sausage, known as currywurst, since 1973.

The sausage is made in its Wolfsburg Volkswagen Plant and has been described as the “most-produced of any of Volkswagen’s parts” – speaking of which, it even has its own part number 199 398 500 A. What’s more, Volkswagen sold an impressive 8.5 million sausages in 2024, compared to just 5.2 million vehicles.

Volkswagen also makes a tangy ketchup to accompany the currywurst, with a pack of sausages and a bottle of ketchup selling for around €9 (£7.70) in the shops. Note that the ketchup has got a bit of a kick to it – don’t say we didn’t warn you!

Bentley’s Macallan Horizon whisky

Need something strong to wash down the currywurst? Bentley Motors has collaborated with Scottish distillery, The Macallan Estate, to craft a single malt whisky called The Macallan Horizon.

This limited edition whisky comes in a horizontal bottle that’s inspired by the “horizontal trajectory of the automotive world” and “represents craftsmanship, creativity and innovation, paying homage to the rich heritage of both The Macallan and Bentley Motors”, The Macallan says.

It’s bottled at 46.6% ABV, with a nod to six European oak casks and six materials integral to The Macallan and Bentley: whisky, wood, copper, aluminium, leather and glass. And as for the price? It could set you back a good £42,000.

That’s not all. The Macallan also offers a special chauffeur-driven experience. This package includes a one-night hotel stay, a chance to explore Scotland’s beautiful Speyside region, a personalised tour, and a private tasting session that’s just for you and three other people for around £5,000. Talk about spending the day in luxury!

Picnic collection by Bentley Home

Ah, just in time for the upcoming summer holidays. Bentley Home, a furniture company created in partnership with Bentley Motors, has released a picnic collection that is designed to give you an “elegant outdoor experience”.

Carlo Colombo, a designer for Bentley Home, teamed up with the Bentley Motors design crew to launch the collection that includes a woven picnic basket, single and double bottle holders, and a picnic blanket. Every piece in the collection subtly features the iconic Bentley matrix grille, mirroring the design of Bentley’s cars.

You have to inquire about prices, but we’re sure a luxury picnic set like this would go mighty fine with your branded salt and pepper grinders, VW currywurst and ketchup, and that £42k bottle of single malt whisky.

Ferrari theme parks

This pick isn’t something you buy – it’s something you do… unless you decide to buy a ton of merch while you’re there, of course. Indeed, there are two Ferrari-branded theme parks in the world that you can visit: Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Ferrari Land (part of PortAventura World) in Spain.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi came first. It opened in November 2010 and is a mostly indoor theme park located on Yas Island, right next to the Yas Marina Circuit, home of the F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. It’s also where you’ll find Formula Rossa, which has held the record for the world’s fastest rollercoaster since 2010.

Formula Rossa has a record-setting top speed of 149.1mph

Then there’s Ferrari Land, located within the PortAventura resort, about an hour and a half’s drive from Barcelona. It opened in April 2017 and has a distinct Mediterranean vibe, with recreations of Venice’s Piazza San Marco, Rome’s Colosseum, and even Ferrari’s factory in Maranello. The park’s main ride is Red Force, a 112-meter-tall vertical accelerator coaster – think Stealth at Thorpe Park, but bigger. It’s the tallest and fastest coaster in Europe, reaching speeds of up to 112 mph.

So, if you’re a thrill-seeker and a die-hard Ferrari fan, these parks might just be your dream destinations. Think Disneyland, but for motorsport fans.

Aston Martin properties

Fancy buying a property owned by a luxury car brand? Well, Aston Martin has built a 66-story residential tower in Miami, Florida, marking the British sports carmaker’s first foray into real estate.

The building, called Aston Martin Residences Miami, has 391 units and sits at the mouth of the Miami River on Biscayne Bay. Designed in partnership with architect Rodolfo Miani and built by G&G Business Developments, the 249m tall building houses seven penthouses, each with private pools and terraces, as well as apartments ranging in size from one to five bedrooms.

The largest unit is the ‘Unique Triplex Penthouse’, which is arranged over three floors at the top of the building, which is still on the market for $59m (£50.6m). The building also features an infinity pool with a pool deck, jacuzzis and cabanas on the 55th floor, a two-floor fitness centre, two movie theatres and a virtual golf simulator.

Aston Martin has also completed its first residential project in Japan and the first luxury home in Asia designed by the car brand: a Tokyo townhouse called N°001 Minami Aoyama. This four-storey private home is located in the highly-desirable Omotesando area which is known for its high-end shopping. It also features an automotive gallery, wine cellar, home cinema, gym, and private spa, so you can brag about your cars as well as your home.

While the exact cost hasn’t been publicly disclosed, it’s speculated that the owner paid $22m (£16m), according to Property Journal. So, you better start saving!

Elon Musk’s not-a-flamethrower

We left the strangest one until last: a flamethrower.

Before you question us: yes, we know this pick is a bit of a reach, considering it’s not directly made by a car company. But The Boring Company was founded by none other than eccentric billionaire Elon Musk, who also owns Tesla, so it sort of counts. And honestly, it’s just too weird to leave out.

In 2018, The Boring Company offered 20,000 flamethrowers – technically blowtorches shaped like guns – for $500 (£360) each. They sold out in just a matter of days. While legal in most US states (except Maryland), the devices caused quite a stir.

When customs officials objected to importing anything labelled a ‘flamethrower,’ Musk cheekily renamed them Not-A-Flamethrower, since they were more like roofing torches than actual weapons. He even sold a branded fire extinguisher alongside them, joking that it was “overpriced… but this one comes with a cool sticker.”

You won’t be able to buy a Not-A-Flamethrower in the UK due to strict import laws. In fact, under the Firearms Act 1968, they’re classified as prohibited weapons. While a few appear on secondhand sites such as eBay, we wouldn’t recommend trying to get your hands on one.
